“The Dwarven Axe” is the 2nd design inspired by the lore and world-building of J.R.R. Tolkien. Where I looked more to the races of men and elves for inspiration for my “Namárië” pattern, this time, I dug - or should I say mined - a little deeper. I looked at the Dwarves,* and wanted to imagine what their private life would have been like. In the books, we learn about their battles, bravery, and cunning ways of mining and gathering great riches - but we learn very little about their romantic lives.
