“A Royal Affair” is a fun medium-sized sampler inspired by Scottish and Dutch samplers. The black border with its corner motifs is reminiscent of Groning samplers. The crowned cartouche is of a type often seen on samplers from Holland. You can put your initials in this cartouche using the alphabet below it. If your initials do not fit, you can always widen the cartouche with a few stitches!
